World Of Warcraft Cataclysm Leveling 80-85

This is a short helpful guide to know what zones you should quest in from 80-85. This is using my experiences. This is not intended to be a step by step guide, rather a general zone by zone guide which will highlight (in my opinion) the best parts of that zone.

This is definitely an interesting zone as it is completely underwater. It may include some of the more generic kill and gather quests but they are mainly interesting and you will complete this zone very quickly with the achievement without knowing because you will be so lost in the story.

My Favourite parts: Riding a Sea-Horse, the Battlemaiden quests, the submarine battle.

I don't want to say too much about these because I don't want to ruin them, but they are awesome and a real statement to show how far Blizzard have come along with their quests compared to Vanilla World Of Warcraft.

In my opinion this is the weaker of the two new start zones in Cataclysm, mainly because its not at all different. It is most definitely better than any previous questing zones before Wrath Of The Lich King but it doesn't stray too far away from being mostly generic kill and gather quests, a lot of these feeling boring. Also the story does not seem as interesting, until the end that is. 

My Favourite parts: The Twilight hammer quests at the end, The Final Battle.

Since you had a choice of two starting zones, you can go to both and become either level 83 if you finish both or 82 if you finish one, which is the requirement for Deepholm. Deepholm is without a doubt one of the best looking areas in the game, it almost reminds me of Netherstorm because of the colour palette. The quests are varied and I rarely felt like it was a chore to do the quests here.

My Favourite parts: The Vehicle battles, the alliance gunship quests, the battle for the Temple of Earth.

I found that if you complete all the zones up to here you will not get to level 85 if you complete Uldum too. There is simply too much experience needed. Therefore if your 83 you will get to 84 but if your 84 you will most likely be 3 quarters of the way to levelling. This is a very nice zone to quest in as your taken through an overarching story through the zone. This place is where Blizzard really outdid themselves with the cut scenes and funny quests as you adventure with Harrison Jones (Indiana Jones). A lot of these quests are memorable and fun and most of the time your not going to feel like your levelling, rather enjoying a good story.

My Favourite parts: Flying in Harrison's plane, All Schnottz related quests, all cut scenes.

This is a zone which I did not think I would need to do, I assumed I would get to 85 and then never have to do this unless I wanted the achievement. However finding myself unable to get to 85 in Uldum I went here with the intention of just getting the level and then leaving for good. That is not what happened. I got to 85 and continued questing here, because the story is really good. The new Ring Of Blood quests are here too which are definitely worth doing, xp wise and enjoyment wise. The Wildhammer Dwarves are back in this zone and have some really worthwhile quests which will make you realise how good Blizzard have got at making a good story.

My Favourite parts: The quest to get there, the first quest while there, the cannon quest, helping the Wildhammer dwarves. 

Overall all zones have improved, graphics wise and are very unique looking. I was really impressed with the majority of content Blizzard pumped out this expansion and look forward to more in the future.
